Farmers Rescue Horse Trapped in Flooded Texas Paddock

A horse stranded in a flooded paddock in Cleveland, Texas, was walked to safety as floodwaters continued to rise.

Chance Ward, who runs a feed and tack business, helped rescue the trapped animal along with a friend. He posted to Facebook that “all animals were saved”.

The storm generated record rainfall over the weekend, and forecasters warned that further rainfall was expected, possibly threatening homes elsewhere in Texas and in Louisiana.
