The idea to create a themed camp began in Ikaria Surf School by combining different sports in order to promote an alternative and healthy holiday lifestyle - as well as proving that there are no limits within sports.

In order to combine different sports in our camps, there needs to be a similarity in the philosophy and way of exercising besides the common priority of just having fun!

It started like this in the summer of 2015 when Aggelos Andriotis, a true ambassador of calisthenics exercise, managed to impress us with his isometric exercise moves on the beach and we in turn managed to hook him on surfing.

Together, we decided to create the 1st Calisthenics & Surf camp that took place in summer 2016.

We could talk for hours about the combination of these 2 sports, but you need only to look at the benefits of each, in areas such as kinesthesia, proprioception, muscle strengthening and balance.

We hope to see you all on the beach of Mesakti this summer in the 2nd Calisthenics & Surf camp to get to know one another and exercise, whilst also getting the chance to tour the beautiful island of Ikaria.
