The DryBell Module 4 expands on the warm JFET compression that once lived in a tiny box attached to your guitar’s output jack. This Orange Squeeze Flavored compressor not only offers the same vintage feel and EQ from the 70s but many improvements and tone shaping features!
Module 4 is equipped with every parameter to fine-tune the compression starting with a Preamp Gain/Attenuation control to set the sensitivity. Then, you can dial in the exact feel and bloom with Attack and Release times, just like studio compressors. DryBell gives you a modern Blend control to achieve parallel compression and let the dry signal preserve dynamics while a Tone knob can enhance the sparkle or mellow out the sound to match your musical taste.
Plus, the Orange button toggles between the original Orange Squeezer voicing with enhanced mids or a Full Frequency Range compression for a brighter and snappier comp.
As a bonus, when Buffered bypass is chosen with the Orange mode, it will continue to present the same signal shaping and warmth when the compressor is off, much like Dan Armstrong's plug-in unit. Plus DryBell’s silent, smart footswitching lets you engage a fast or slow Expander circuit to hush the hiss when not playing and enable a Low End cut to tighten up compression.
