Maoists IED Blast Kills 8 DRG Jawans and Driver in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh | NewsX

Eight District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans and a driver were killed in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, when Naxals detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) on the Bedre-Kutru Road. The attack took place as the security personnel were returning from a joint operation involving Dantewada, Narayanpur, and Bijapur. According to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bastar, the explosion occurred at 2:15 pm on January 6, near Ambeli village in the Kutru police station area. The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region.
