This short film is a practical project for our Community Science Extension Education course (Department of Home Science). The topic of our practical was to create a short film on community issues.

We are a group of seven girls who have made this short film. It was shoot using an iPhone 15 and edited entirely on an iPhone 14. No other electronic devices were used during the editing process.

We have put in a lot of hard work to create this film, and it was a completely new experience for all of us. From scriptwriting to video editing, we did everything ourselves without taking help from anyone else.Please forgive us if there are any mistakes. ”AAHAROR SAAT “This concept is especially significant during the Ambubachi Mela, a festival held at the Kamakhya Temple, which marks the annual menstruation of the goddess Kamakhya—symbolizing fertility and the creative power of nature. However, in contrast to this celebration, many girls and women in our communities still face stigma, shame, and silence around menstruation. Myths, taboos, and lack of education lead to girls being isolated, missing school, or using unsafe materials during their periods. "Tamboo thinking"—the belief that menstruating women are impure or unclean—is still common in many areas, creating barriers to dignity and health.
