The second part of 'Mala Bhavalele Sangeetkaar' (the musicians I cherish) features 3 articles written by Dr Ashok Da Ranade on eminent musicians of Hindustani Art-music, namely Ustad Bade Gulam Ali Khan, Prof. B R Deodhar and Pandit Jagannath Buwa Purohit. The reading of articles by Shruti Kunte and Dr Chaitanya Kunte is supported by audio recordings of these legendary singers.

These articles were published in a book 'Mala Bhavalele Sangeetkaar' मला भावलेले संगीतकार (2009, Rajhans Prakashan, Pune). These articles are excellent examples of analytical criticism in Hindustani music. Dr Ranade has pointed out the performing ideologies of these artists, along with explaining their performing strategies and aesthetic principles. These articles help the readers develop a deep understanding of Hindustani music.

This presentation was done by Dr Chaitanya Kunte to commemorate Dr Ranade on his 5th Memorial Day. The program was presented on July 17, 2016, the 41st episode of 'Sudarshan Sangeet Sabha' organized by Maharashtra Cultural Centre, Pune.
