We discussed about the tax breakup in case of Petrol cars.

Now, let's have a look at the tax break-up on diesel cars. With an engine below 1500 cc and a length smaller than 4 metres, it comes up to 31% (28 + 3). For the same with length more than 4 metres, it goes up till a huge 48% (28 + 20).


What would happen if we add ground clearance to the equation? So, if the diesel engine crosses over 1500 cc, the car length crosses 4 metres, and also has a ground clearance above 170 mm, the taxes would again make up for 50% (28 + 22) of the manufacturing cost.
