WSW DistanSING 2 🎶 For the 3rd collaboration in my 2nd #WendySingsWednesday DistanSING series, the gorgeous Sarah Vaughan joins me in Craig Carnelia's 'Flight'. Sarah messaged me a few months ago suggesting that it would be nice to sing this gorgeous duet together, including a link to the fabulous Sutton Foster and Megan McGinnis' performance, and I fell in love with it straight away! When I decided to do a 2nd DistanSING series, Sarah was the first person I asked about doing a collab. It's not the most well-known song but it's so beautiful and the lyrics fit so well with the music.

I met Sarah over 2 and a half years ago (though it feels like we've known each other for decades!) when she auditioned to join our group Ida Girls London. Although it was our first meeting, we spent most of the audition chatting about boys and barely remembered to sing anything! 😆 But of course we could tell that she was insanely talented, had a great attitude and would be an invaluable addition to the group - and the rest is history! Since then, she has become one of my closest friends and I'm thrilled she was up for joining me for this week's WSW video!

Dubliner born and bred, Sarah studied at the National University of Ireland graduating with a BA (hons) in Music, specializing in opera, whilst training under some of the top vocal coaches in the US, UK & Ireland.
Credits include: Cinderella in Cinderella (Plymouth Theatre Royal, Wycombe Swan & Venue Cymru); Ripper Street (BBC), Buckingham Palace, Princess Apricot/Jill in Jack & the Beanstalk (Alhambra Theatre & Wolverhampton Grand), Wom in Exceptional Wom (Josh Nolan), Anne Shelton in The Code (Little Glass Pictures), Women of Ireland (lead singer, US/Canada Tour), Young Sally in Follies, Belle in Beauty & the Beast, Whiskey in the Jar – the Musical (World Premiere), Helen in Here Comes Love (World Premiere), Brenda Blossom in Hollywood Pinafore, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Yum-Yum in Hot Mikado, Belle in A Christmas Carol, Cunégonde in Candide, The Magic Flute, Norma, L’elisir d’Amore and La Traviata.
Recordings include: Pass on the Rainbow-NHS (The Rainbow Collective), The Forget Me Not Song (Alzheimer’s Society), Eileen (New World Records), Molly Bloom in Songs of Rejoicing (East Coast FM), Believe (Ida).
One quarter of international classical crossover group ‘Ida Girls London’, Sarah performs regularly both at home and abroad including Noosa Alive Festival(Australia), Windsor Castle, The Other Palace (London), Andrew Neil Show (BBC), WestEnd Live (London).
