Using CIGSfab, Manz is the world’s only provider of a fully integrated, turnkey production line for manufacturing CIGS thin-film solar modules.

In contrast to crystalline solar technology, the deposition of the semiconductor in thin-film solar technology occurs on a glass substrate. The name of this technology is due to the fact that the conducting layer is about 100 times thinner than in the case of crystalline technology.

Unser Produktionsequipment für die Herstellung von CIGS-Dünnschicht-Solarmodulen. Mit der CIGSfab ist Manz der weltweit einzige Anbieter einer voll integrierten, schlüsselfertigen Produktionslinie zur Herstellung von CIGS-Dünnschicht-Solarmodulen.

Im Gegensatz zur kristallinen Solartechnologie erfolgt die Abscheidung des Halbleiters in der Dünnschicht-Solartechnologie auf einem Glassubstrat. Der Name dieser Technologie ist darauf zurückzuführen, dass die leitende Schicht rund 100-mal dünner ist als bei der kristallinen Technologie.
