Airfix 1/72 Hawker Hurricane Mk1 Build Review

In this weeks video I am going to be building the airfix 1 72nd scale Hawker hurricane Mk1
The Hawker Hurricane was the work horse of the RAF during the battle of Britain, Made before the spitfire the Hurricane out numbered the spitfire nearly two to one. Even though out matched by the spitfire the Hurricane was still a cutting edge fighter plane and excelled at its main role, of shooting down bombers attacking Britain during the Blitz. Later in the war the Hurricane was converted to a ground attack plane. A role in which it excelled at until replaced by more modern planes later in the war

This is a simple Airfix kit but it has a few issues that a new modeler should watch out for, the undercarriage is quite thin and delicate and will take time to remove from the spurs. Other than that though the model goes together will with a bit of light sanding to remove the join lines.
