The talented Sheila Maurice-Grey is a London-based musician, renowned for her work with Kokoroko and artists like Sampha. With parents from Sierra Leone and Guinea-Bissau, her heritage deeply influences her music. Sheila, a masterful trumpet player, effortlessly blends West African music, jazz, soul, and more.

At Miles’ Room in Konk Studios, the legendary recording space in North London, Sheila performed a special session for The New Originals Jazz Club, produced by Secondborn. She played new compositions and honored the artists who inspired her, including her own pieces Give Tomorrow a Chance and You and Me as well as a unique version of Lou Marini’s Starmaker.

Joined by musicians Renato Paris on keys, Karl Onibuje on bass and Natcyet Wakili on drums, Sheila has delivered a captivating performance.
