We went to Barcelona PART 2 (Days 2-4)

Описание к видео We went to Barcelona PART 2 (Days 2-4)

THINGS TO DO IN BARCELONA, SPAIN:
We tried to do as much free things as possible, which is why we didn’t go into the Gaudí buildings, just saw them from the outside. Gaudí is an architect that designed a lot of amazing buildings and park so definitely recommend seeing his work. I would also recommend buying tickets in advance for popular attractions like Sagrada Familia and Park Guell (that will be in the next video).
Traveling with a toddler can be a bit difficult but that doesn’t stop us from doing it anyway! It can slow things down but kids are adaptable and they deserve to see the world too. Originally we planned to use the train and bus to get around but it wasn’t the best with having our stroller, so we did decide to rent a car and it was worth it. If you have older kids, metro and bus would be the cheapest route. We did walk everywhere so it helped to plan things that were close by. We also tried to do as much free things as possible, which is why we didn’t go into the Gaudí buildings, just saw them from the outside. I would also recommend buying tickets in advance for popular attractions like Sagrada Familia and Park Guell (that will be in the next video).

DAY 2:
1) La Basilica de la Sagrada Familia - Catholic Cathedral. Very popular, buy tickets from official website.
2) Xurreria de Maria - small churro shop next to Sagrada Familia. Churros and cold chocolate are a thing in Spain so def try one of the many shops at least once.
3) Pannus Bakery - another small shop near Sagrada Familia. We didn’t know where to go for breakfast so we just got something there.
4) Parc de les Glories - we did go to quite a few parks for the little one.
5) Enigma 23 Brunch - quick pit stop for food and conveniently there was a park right in front.
6) Casa Mila - the last private residence designed by architect Antoni Gaudí
7) Casa Batllo - remodeled house by Gaudí, considered a masterpiece
8) Placa de Catalunya - fountains, statues and buildings
9) Museum of Natural Sciences - FREE ENTRY on Sundays. Awesome museum with a little library and interactive games.
10) Parc de la Placa del Fórum - right behind the museum. Fun playground

DAY 3: (didn’t do much due to spending a long time getting a rental car)
1) Wowzer Brunch & Coffee - near our AirBNB in Castelldefels. Cute spot, good food.
2) Barcelona Aquarium - kind of small but good for kids. They had penguins!
3) Aldi - lots of good things

DAY 4: Spent in the El Born area
1) El Born Center for Culture and Memory - FREE ENTRY. Historic ruins of a market. Catalan nation history
2) Museum of Chocolate - pay to enter. Learn about how chocolate came to Spain. They also have a little shop to buy desserts, drinks & chocolate.
3) La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant - the food was really good!
4) Arc de Triumf - Built for 1888 World Fair in Barcelona
5) Park de la Ciutadella - across from the Arc de Triumf, nice park to walk around, have a picnic, and see some museums, statues, fountain, row boats on the water and a playground for kids.
6) Cathedral of Barcelona - we didn’t go inside
7) Chocolatería Valor - really good chocolate and churros plus other items.
