Knitting, crochet and a walk in the park

Hello and welcome to Gaga Knits, where we have a weekly chat about the crafty things I have been making. Please feel free to leave a comment and tell me what you are working on. I always love to hear from you.

Today I share my finished projects, of which I have two.

Charlie, my old English Sheepdog. Crocheted from a pattern in the Crochet a Farm book by Megan Kreiner. Information about the yarn I used is in last week's podcast. Charlie invited us into the dolls house to show us how she is settling in.

Martyn's socks our now finished. I wanted to see if I could make a pair of size 7 socks out of a 50g ball of 4ply and yes I can as long as I use a contrast yarns for cuffs, heels and toes. The pattern I used was the Vanilla Latte Socks by Virginia Rose-Jeanes, a free pattern on Ravelry and the yarn was Drops Fabel Print 4ply in the colour 913.

I have also discovered a lovely new podcast, called Knitting with Betty. This is a fairly new podcast (4 episodes) where Betty shares her love of knitting vintage items. Well worth a watch and I shall leave a link to her channel below

This week I shall be working on an old WIP, the Poppy jumper by Susan Crawford. It is a beautiful vintage short sleeved jumper with a colourwork yolk. I am making the size 3 which has a 38" bust. The colours I chose are all King Cole Merino Blend 4 ply and are

Lastly, as we actually had some sunny weather in South Wales this week I share some photos of a walk in a local park.
