Collaborative Solutions for Housing Affordability: The Impact of Centers for Housing Opportunity

This session explored the work of the Centers for Housing Opportunity (CHO) and highlighted how their strategic partnerships are making a significant impact on housing affordability in Connecticut. Featuring a presentation on the CHO's mission and initiatives, this session highlighted successful models and case studies. Special focus was given to how the CHO leverages the strengths and capacities of its partners—such as collective impact backbone facilitation, program execution, and technical assistance from The Housing Collective; policy and advocacy from Partnership for Strong Communities; and lending and investment from LISC CT—along with regional community foundations and key regional stakeholders. The session illustrated how these collaborative efforts are driving systems change in the housing sector and addressing the unique housing challenges of various regions.
