So, what exactly is ESG and DEI in the video game industry? Some say they are a means to destroy games, some have no idea what they are but are happy to discuss the topic, some don't care and some haven't heard of it. I did not know they were such popular gaming topics until I started to look up videos about Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. After playing the demo, I fell in love with the game and wanted to see what others had to say about it. There were a lot of opinions, to say the least.

I don't care for controversies. This is not to convince anyone that ESG and DEI are great or that they're terrible. This is to explain what they actually are.
As a gamer, I prioritise a fun time above all else. I also care about sustainability. However, I don't want it to interfere with my gaming experience. There are ways to make the gaming industry more sustainable while enhancing the player experience or at least not impacting it negatively. That is what should be done. Combine the good and the fun.
