Indian film and theatre actor, music director, lyricist, singer, scriptwriter Piyush Mishra explains his deep, heart-felt and immortal bond that he shares with charismatic revolutionary and martyr Bhagat Singh in this TEDx talk. By sharing amazing and mind boggling life instances of Bhagat Singh, Piyush Mishra reflects the fact how less we know about this super handsome, dramatic and intellectual Shaheed-e-Azam. Piyush Mishra conceives the fact that his affection and devotion for Bhagat Singh has led him very close to the idea of self exploration and patriotism. Piyush Mishra started his career in Hindi theatre in Delhi after graduating from National School of Drama, Delhi in 1986. He is acclaimed for his acting in Maqbool (2003) , Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) and Pink (2016). As a film lyricist and singer, he is noted for his songs “Arre Ruk Ja Re Bandeh” (Black Friday, 2004), “Aarambh Hai Prachand” (Gulaal, 2009), “Ik Bagal” (Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2, 2012), and “Husna” (MTV Coke Studio, 2012). He is also an acclaimed Dialogue Writer and Poet. His career is of over 3 Decades with major contribution to Movies, Short Films and Literary Societies in India.
