Edit: 28th Jan, 2020 (After the tragic passing of Kobe that shook basketball fans worldwide I would just like to give one last thank you to the Mamba himself. He got me into ball around 08/09 and ever since then I always saw him as the Jordan of my generation. Although I was never a big fan of his, I always had the highest amount of respect for him. I could go on and on with the memories I have of him (Game winner over Dwade, Losing 08 finals and coming back for a 2-peat in 09 & 10, FreeThrow shots with torn achillies) the list goes on. He was a once in a lifetime icon, player and human. He was put on this earth to not just play the game of basketball but to educate, lead and encourage the new generation, he was just getting started in life. As for his daughter Gigi my heart breaks for her, she had big things coming her way and if you've seen her highlights she was just like her dad, so fundamentally sound and even had the iconic fadeaway at 13. My prayers and condolences to Kobe's wife Vanessa, their 3 other daughters and family, I can't imagine the pain and grief that they are going through and for the 7 other victims that were tragically taken I hope you rest in perfect peace and I pray for the friends and family's of those lost.)
