We had an outstanding day brewing with David Wollner at the Willimantic Brewing Co. today! David was kind enough to invite us in and help out with the brewing process for our next Ales of Honor beer, APO Milk Stout. (AlesOfHonor.com)

The CT Beer Trail has partnered up with a number of local brew pubs to support our state's local military members. Each brew pub will hand craft a unique beer and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of those beers will be donated to the Connecticut National Guard Foundation.

The foundation is a private nonprofit corporation organized for the purpose of providing temporary need based financial assistance for Connecticut National Guard members. The fund provides benefits such as clothing, food, medical and surgical aid, and general care and relief.

By contributing through this online fund raising effort and helping spread the word through your own social media efforts you will bolster the project's charitable donation and help increase awareness of the mission of the Connecticut National Guard Foundation. You'll get some great incentives! A portion of the funds gathered through this online effort will go to cover the costs of the incentives, beer and overall project efforts. The bulk of the proceeds from this online effort will go directly to the foundation.

About the CT Beer Trail
CT Beer Trail LLC was formed and is operated by a local military veteran, and is supported by a nearly all voluntary staff of local veterans. While Connecticut craft beer is near and dear to our hearts, so too is our sense our loyalty to our military family. We saw an opportunity to combine these two passions for the greater good, but we need your help to make this effort a success.

About the brewers
The state's craft beer industry is filled with some of the most generous professionals we've ever encountered. When we approached them with this idea they were eager to brew some great beer and support this worthy cause with their time, efforts and resources. Together with these kindhearted artisans we hope to create excitement for this project, the beer and most importantly for this noble cause.
