Crank it up! Two Union Pacific, SD70M's are working hard as they climb the grade towards the Moffat tunnel. In this video the train will pass through 28 tunnels. We start at tunnel #1 and end shortly before the entrance to the Moffat tunnel. Two tunnels have been day lighted do you know which ones they are?

When Mr Moffat wanted to build this railroad people must have thought he had lost his mind. Crazy or not, the railroad was built and at great expense. It stands today as a engineering marvel, and one of the most scenic rail routes in the nation. Many of the tunnels still have their natural rock faces. A real rarity for a Class one, main line, railroad.
