Just two months after her wedding, 27-year-old Rithanya from Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, died by suicide, leaving behind seven heart-wrenching voice messages exposing alleged mental and physical abuse by her husband and in-laws over dowry demands.
In her final words, she pleaded, “I cannot bear his torture. I have no hope left.” This tragic case has sparked outrage across Tamil Nadu and beyond, echoing the stories of other women like Vismaya and Archana, who lost their lives in similar circumstances.
Her husband Kavin Kumar and his parents have been arrested, and investigations are ongoing.
