The Importance of Exchange Student Programs | Alexandra Dursonova | TEDxClearLakeHighSchool

In my speech I'd like to represent the main idea of being an exchange student, what it is like and how different culture can affect you. I also would like to share knowledge about different exchange programs for students in the U.S., the importance of trying it and what skills it can teach you.

We are the new generation. Our main goal is to create society that is ready to change. Foreign exchange programs help by increasing personal knowledge, building strong and reliable relationships, representing countries and share knowledge about different cultures. Since coming to the U.S. as a scholar exchange student from Kazakhstan, Alexandra has spent her time as an ambassador of her country performing at various events and conferences. During her exchange year, Alexandra has researched the key aspects of how to be a successful international student and how to spend a year abroad with a great outcome. She believes that no matter how complex the process can be, exchange students are a critical support to official U.S. diplomacy and an essential part of building multinational relationships for the future.
