Collaboration is at the heart of the PPP approach at Sellafield Ltd and after appointing 8 long-term suppliers, or key delivery partners, over the last 2 years their teams are now on site and working closely with our PPP project teams. It’s a true one team approach.

Last year, Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick Ltd (BBK) was appointed to deliver HVAC and pipework requirements across PPP’s major projects with a framework agreement worth £485 to £600 million over the life of the programme.

BBK Project Engineer Anthony Moffitt and Sellafield’s Senior Project Manager Richard Etheridge speak about the benefits that come from our integration approach and how we’re engaging suppliers earlier than past approaches.

This example highlights how BBK’s team are working closely with the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation team on our Sellafield Product and Residue Store Retreatment Plant to support the next steps in delivering one of Sellafield’s biggest infrastructure projects.
