If you grew up in the 70s, you almost certainly remember the Super Friends on Saturday mornings. Super Friends was one of the earliest depictions of the Justice League of America on television, preceded only by a handful of shorts in the Aquaman TV series in 1967. For that reason, Arthur Curry gets a little more screen time here than he really deserves. He's sort of grandfathered in as a founder of the JLA.

This is a little something I put together using an edited instrumental version of the most well-known (and IMO best) theme that was used in some form or other from 1977-1985, with the exception of the 1978 'Challenge of the Superfriends' season. This version is sometimes referred to as the 'Rock and Roll' version. The clips come mostly (although not exclusively) from the opening titles of various seasons from 1973-1985.

The show deserves props for trying to be more inclusive in later years by creating original characters like Black Vulcan. Apache Chief, Samurai, El Dorado, and Rima. The only one of those to really get any traction with audiences was Apache Chief, but hey... baby steps, right? I've made an effort to squeeze all of these characters in for an appearance, but I couldn't get some of them in. See how many iconic DC characters you can spot, and see if you can spot who's missing.
