Today we'll take a simple Ikea pillow case from plain to patterned pom pom perfection with the help of printmaking supplies and a pom pom loom.

This salmon coloured pillow case is only about $5 at Ikea, and while you might be thinking that the cost of the craft could really add up as you purchase a pom pom loom and printmaking tools, I believe that it's alway better to spend your money on tools than on objects.
In two years a $40 boutique pillow case will just look tired (and you'll be wondering why you were ever so obsessed with chevron anyway!) But if you buy tools and supplies, in two years you'll have used your looms to make countless pompoms for knitted hats, and the printmaking supplies? Well, you can make your own stationary, and print your own shirts, bags and of course, pillows! So let's get started!
