My brother Eric and niece Rina (who live in Japan) visited me for a few days, so I took them sailing. It was a beautiful August Summer day, but there were very rolly waves from the prevailing North winds that weekend. So Rina unfortunately got seasick almost right away as we got the sails up. We only stayed out a couple hours. the next weekend there were much better conditions. Kim did a great job at the helm while I raised the sails and also steered and sailed for a few miles at the end of the day. It was her first time on a sailboat! : )
