Eid Special Shahi Tukray Written Recipe With Directions

Ingredients For Rabri:

-Milk (dhoodh) 1 litre
-Sugar (cheeni) 3 tbs
-Vanilla Custard powder 1 tbs
-Milk powder 2 tbs
-Corn flour 1 tbs
-Green cardamom (sabaz elaichi) powder ¼ tsp
-Milk (dhoodh) ½ glass
-Bread slices 3 (remove brown part)

Ingredients For Sugar Syrup:

-Sugar (cheeni) 1 cup
-Water (pani) ½ cup
-Kewra Essence 2-3 drops
Ingredients For Bread:
-Clarified butter (ghee) for frying
-Bread slices (remove the brown part)

Ingredients For Assembling:

-Rabri
-Sugar syrup-coated bread slices
-Pistachios (Pista)
-Almonds (badam)
-Cocoa powder
-Rose petals

Directions:

Step 1: Rabri
-In a pan, add milk and bring it to a boil. Then, add sugar and cook it until the sugar dissolves completely.
-In a bowl, add vanilla custard powder, milk powder, corn flour, green cardamom powder, and milk. Beat well with a hand beater so that there are no lumps.
-On low flame, gradually add this mixture to boiled milk and stir the spoon continuously. Cook it for 3-4 mins on low flame until milk thickens.
-In a chopper, add bread and chop well.
-Add chopped bread to rabri.
-Turn off the flame and mix well.
-Dish out and set aside.
Step 2: Sugar Syrup
-In a pan, add sugar, water, and kewra essence. Cook until the sugar melts. Remove from flame and set aside.
Step 3: Bread
-Cut the bread slice into a triangle shape.
-In a pan, add clarified butter and heat it.
-Fry the bread slices in the medium hot clarified butter until light brown in color.
Step 4: Assembling
-Now dip the bread slice in the sugar syrup for a few seconds.
-Arrange the sugar syrup-coated bread pieces in a dish of rabri.
-Garnish with almonds, pistachios, cocoa powder, and rose petals.

Tips and Tricks:

-In making Rabri, you can also use condensed milk instead of sugar.
