Tension Simmers Amid Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Row: Bommai's Photo Painted Black In Solapur

Pro-Kannada organisations on Tuesday protested in Belagavi, the town at the centre of the Karnataka-Maharashtra border dispute, against a proposed visit of a ministerial delegation from Maharashtra. The organisations are protesting against Maharashtra ministers Chandrakant Patil and Shambhuraj Desai's proposed visit, which was later postponed.

The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, which led the demonstrations, has announced statewide protests from tomorrow.
