How did we go from a photo-sharing app to a mindless-scrolling one? In this video, I take a brief look at Instagram to talk about this transitioning era in the history of social media so far; an era where the biggest social media companies seem to have lost sight of their original purpose, in favour of designing platforms that are meant to keep you addicted, instead of feeling connected. Granted, we’re still at the very beginning of this digital age. What could a healthier future that includes the use of social media look like? I’m just a guy giving his thoughts/opinions on this topic…I would also love to hear yours!
