Today’s reading from Genesis 47–48 reveals a powerful warfare truth: *God’s faithfulness does not end with you — He carries it through generations*. Jacob is old and frail, yet living inside the fulfilment of God’s promise. While famine threatens nations, Joseph — once betrayed and abandoned — is now the instrument God uses to preserve his entire family.

This is how God works in warfare. What looks like defeat on the front line becomes the setup for strategic victory. What the enemy intended for destruction, God turns into preservation. Joseph’s suffering became the pathway to generational survival.

In Genesis 48, Jacob blesses Ephraim and Manasseh and intentionally crosses his hands, giving the greater blessing to the younger son. God’s strategy often defies human expectation. He does not follow human order — *He moves according to purpose*. What seems unconventional is often divine precision.

This moment is more than a blessing — it is *generational warfare*. Jacob’s words become prophetic weapons that secure Israel’s future. The enemy seeks to bind families with fear, addiction, poverty, and dysfunction, but God releases generational blessing through faith and obedience.

Egypt represented bondage, yet even there God was positioning His people for growth. *Faithfulness in famine leads to abundance in the next generation*.
