Norwegian Social Prescribing Group (NSPG Norway)
Online Update Event | 18 February 2026
Overview
The Norwegian Social Prescribing Group (NSPG Norway) was formally launched in September 2025 in Bergen, Norway, as a national consortium established under the Global Social Prescribing Alliance (GSPA), governed by WHIS CIC UK.
On 18 February 2026, NSPG Norway will host an online national update event, providing stakeholders with an overview of progress since launch, emerging learning, and strategic plans for the next phase of development and delivery.
Purpose of the February 2026 Event
To provide a formal update following the launch of NSPG Norway in September 2025
To share early progress, partnerships, and insights from the first phase
To outline NSPG Norway’s strategic priorities, delivery roadmap, and governance approach
To explore future projects, including research, pilots, and innovative financing models such as outcomes-based contracting
To strengthen collaboration across health, social care, academia, community organisations, and the private sector
Strategic Context
NSPG Norway brings together partners across sectors to promote and scale social prescribing as a core approach to improving population health, wellbeing, and social connectedness. While operating independently to set national priorities, NSPG Norway benefits from access to global frameworks, networks, and shared learning through the GSPA.
Members commit to a minimum three-year collaboration period, ensuring stability, continuity, and long-term impact.
