The Vision One-Eleven is a concept car by Mercedes-Benz that was unveiled in June 2023. It is a progressive interpretation of the iconic C 111 experimental vehicles that Mercedes-Benz built in the 1960s and 1970s. Here are some facts about the Vision One-Eleven:
It has gullwing doors that open up to reveal a futuristic interior with a lounge-like atmosphere and a pixel display that runs across the dashboard.
It is powered by four axial-flux electric motors, one on each wheel, that produce a combined output of up to 1,920 horsepower. These motors are lighter and more compact than conventional radial-flux motors.
It has a one-bow design that features a smooth and seamless body with a low front end and a muscular rear end. The body is painted in a deep orange color with a hint of copper that changes depending on the light and angle.
It has a digital front grille that can display messages to other road users, such as the classic fog lights of the C 111. It also has striking front and rear lights that resemble the light strips of the C 111.
It is inspired by the heritage and innovation of Mercedes-Benz, especially the C 111, which was used to test new technologies such as rotary engines, turbodiesel engines, and polymer-based bodyshells. The Vision One-Eleven aims to showcase the future of sporty luxury and electrification.
