A brief theory of stretching:

Flexibility is the capability of an articulation to move within its possible range of motion (ROM).
The more flexible the articulation is, the greater the range of movement will be. This ability to move with less limitation is an important factor for daily activities as well as sport performance; it will also prevent you from injuries and provide several long-term benefits.
Improving flexibility may help to prevent many orthopaedic problems like back, shoulders, hips and neck pain as well as postural or muscular imbalances, blood circulation and the capability of muscle relaxation where individuals can benefit from stretching.
There are four known basic types of stretching techniques, including: ballistic, dynamic, static, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF).

Thanks for your interest.

See you next time.
