*ADDENDUM* American Airlines has been added as an official transfer partner of Citi and takes the top spot as best transfer partner thanks to low rates on international business class flights as well as domestic flights.

I also forgot to include: LHW (Leading Hotels of the World) I would rank them between Etihad and Turkish Airlines. They have a small footprint, but some unique luxury properties. You can get consistently decent to good value around 1.5-2 cents per point, but they're still luxury properties, so it requires a lot of points per night and not a lot of room to get outsized value compared to Preferred Hotels. Might be useful for someone with a lot of Citi points going to an area without a lot of other points hotel options with other brands. For example, they have a handful of hotels in the Dolomites, which is an area that comes to mind without a significant number of points hotel options.

Notably, Citi transfers every 5 Citi points to 1 LHW points, so at face value the points price appears lower than it really is. E.g. 7,000 LHW points/night, but it really costs 35,000 Citi points/night

The best way to use and maximize your Citi Thank You Points is by redeeming them with transfer partners, airline frequent flier and hotel loyalty programs. I'm sharing which of the 18 transfer partners are best to use for free flights and hotels. In order to redeem these points with transfer partners, you need to have the Citi Strata Premier; however, you can earn points with other Citi cards like the Double Cash and Custom Cash cards.
