The methodology here is to show how the Hex Beam will perform against a generic End Fed Half Wave Antenna cut to 40m, considering the 80m version is probably too long for many hams.

The EFHW antenna actually works better for local communication around Sydney and many other areas of Australia. But here, I wanted to show comparison for long haul DX.
