Scarf Joints aren't common in Furniture Making. In fact the only time I have ever used them is in Musical Instrument Making. Those familiar with Cigar Box Guitars will know what I mean. This is the joint to use when making the headstock fit the neck on a guitar. Have fun hope you find a way to use this joint somewhere.
This is a series that has been requested many times so here it is. I have filmed 14 different joints that can be done on a Bandsaw. They range from the very basic to quite complex. The series has been broken it into 9 parts for ease of people that are searching for a specific joint. The entire video will soon be available from our Vimeo channel for Rent or Purchased download.
