Zingari Man (https://www.zingariskin.com/) is the men’s line of shave offerings from Zingari Skincare. The artisan, Heather Melton is a certified Cosmetic formulator through the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild. To celebrate the company’s one year anniversary, Zingari Man released their Sego tallow soap base. The artisan’s focus is on nurturing your skin through the use of vitamins and minerals proven in skin health. The Zingari Man line offers shaving soap, post shave, beard care and skin care for a complete grooming experience.
Sego Unscented has an extremely neutral smell considering that the base contains all sorts of fats, oils and milks. Soap bases containing natural ingredients often interfere with the fragrance of scented soaps. Off the tub there is a hint of soap base, to me it smells like unfragranced bath soap. But as soon as it begins to lather, that scent goes away. This is ideal for use when you desire a shave that will not interfere with your post shave splash or balm and any accompanying fragrance. Mrs. Ruds is a fan of this unscented base because I am able to wear whatever she enjoys post shave. Try That Soap (https://trythatsoap.com/) recommends Declaration Grooming Unscented as a comparable unscented profile.
Zingari Man Sego is the company’s first tallow based soap offering. The tallow base is lanolin free for those with a sensitivity to lanolin in mind. The base features ingredients of: Stearic acid, Vegetable Glycerin, Beef tallow, Shea butter, Potassium Hydroxide, Castor oil, Palm oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Jojoba oil, Oat bran oil, Shea butter (and) Glyceral Rosinate (and) Olive oil unsaponifiables, Coconut oil, Daikon Seed extract, Goat milk, Coconut milk, Sodium lactate. This base is on the firmer side of mid and loads without a lot of effort. This base requires a lot of water, a lot more than the vegan offering that you may be used to. When dialed in, the lather will have a consistency similar to Greek yogurt. Slickness is now in the elite class in terms of both primary and residual slickness. Post shave, like slickness is elite. The post shave rivals even the most nourishing offerings in the current soap market. The overall improvements to previous base offerings by Zingari Man are evident and welcomed. Zingari Man Sego receives a ShaveScore of 99. For similar performance from a soap base, I suggest; Barrister and Mann or Murphy & McNeil (kodiak).
I was truly fortunate to win a set of Wanderer, Zingari Man’s new barbershop scent. This one isn’t a scent I will use and therefore will be giving this away to one lucky winner. Open to all, but international must pay actual shipping charge. In order to enter, comment below that you are in. I will use a random YouTube comment picker to pick the winner. Contest will remain open from the time the video posts until Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:59PM ET. Good luck all and thank you as always for your support.
