Musician and peace activist David Mowat shares the story of the Gaza Families Fund, a small one-person initiative that has grown into a lifeline for hundreds of people in Gaza. Drawing on detailed figures from his bank statements and on his daily contact with families under bombardment, David invites the group to act as “consultants” as he discerns how the work should develop – whether to continue as an informal emergency fund, become a Quaker charity, and/or work through trusted humanitarian hubs on the ground in Gaza, while caring for his own wellbeing and staying true to Quaker testimonies.
