Reverse Lights Not Working (Fixed!) - C4 Corvette (89-96) Manual

This video covers troubleshooting and replacing the back up light switch on a 1993 Corvette with a ZF6 manual transmission. This will help with C4's made from 1989 to 1996 that came with a manual transmission.

I noticed my reverse lights were out and I thought it was unlikely that both bulbs blew out at the same time, so I decided to check the back up light switch on the transmission first.

While working on the car I found that the frame-to-transmission ground strap was severed so I replaced that as well. The nut that fastens the ground strap to the transmission is nearly, if not completely, impossible to remove from its stud because of the extremely small clearance between the stud and the heat shielding. To circumvent this, I routed a new ground cable from its original mounting location on the frame to a more accessible stud on the transmission.
