The winter session of Parliament has made an All India News of providing 10% Reservation to the General Category. If this quota of reservation is good or bad is definitely a question.

But before this, we need to see the Constitutional footing of such a provision. Such provision is envisaged to be made by The Constitution (124th Amendment) Bill, 2019, aka 124th Constitutional Amendment Bill.

The bill was presented by Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Thaawanchand Gehlot of the Modi Government.
