After having to sweat it out for over a week, Kyle Larson was finally granted a waiver by NASCAR for missing the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Larson missed the 600 when heavy rain delayed the start of the Indianapolis 500. Larson and Hendrick Motorsports opted to remain in Indy with the goal of finishing the 600 in Charlotte, but heavy rain ended NASCAR's longest race just after halfway, moments after Larson arrived at the track with his helmet in hand.

NASCAR granted Larson the waiver following the Cup Series race at WWT Raceway, but is it time to ditch waivers altogether? NASCAR journalists Kelly Crandall and Deb Williams join PRN's Brett McMillan to argue the waiver system has jumped the shark and isn't what NASCAR intended it to be. Kelly says this is NASCAR's own fault by being so liberal with waivers, while Deb says it's still a good policy to keep injured drivers out of the car until they're healthy. #NASCAR #KyleLarson #Indy500
