(What is your area of research?)

I design, develop and run cell-based assays to support our chemistry team and I also transfer the assays that have been developed into protocols to other employees and colleagues.


(What kind of cells do you transfect?)

I transfect all kind of cells, more than a dozen cell lines; anything from adherent cell lines to suspension cell lines, and I've done both immortalized cell lines and primary cell lines.


(Why do you choose Lipofectamine® reagents for your transfection experiments?)

Lipofectamine® is a very reliable product, you can expect good results and you don't have to do a lot of assay development. The protocol that is provided with the product works very well and its short so it's easy to transfer from person to person.


(What do you like best about them?)

I like that the protocol is short because you want everybody to be able to run the same assay and expect the same result and it helps that it is a very easy protocol to follow.


(Would you recommend Lipofectamine® reagents to your colleagues?)

Absolutely, it doesn't matter if you want to do transient transfections or if you are trying to produce a stable cell line, the protocol is the same and it's very easy to use this product and you can always expect a good result.
