This Tecalemit / Laycock 8t SWL 4 post lift has been in daily use in our busy HGV workshop, and has received regular maintenance to ensure our workshop operates as efficiently as possible. Besides regular preventative maintenance, we’ve replaced parts when they’ve become damaged, worn or otherwise necessary. It has been inspected & certified annually by Bureau Veritas on behalf of our insurers.

This four post vehicle lift is screw operated and features a 415V AC 3-Phase Brook Compton Parkinson 4kW motor & control gear. Although a little slower than cable-type lifts, screw-type lifts are extremely strong & safe, which makes the design ideally suited to lifts for HGVs & larger vehicles, such as this one.

Each of the lift tracks is 22 feet (6.7 metres) long and 2 feet 7 inches (0.787 metres) wide. The gap between each track is 39 inches (1 metre), which allows access to the underside components of the vehicle. The post height is 5 feet 1.5 inches (1.565 metres), giving a maximum lifting height of 4 feet 9.25 inches (1.455 metres). The overall “footprint” width of the ramp is 11 feet 2 inches (3.4 metres). Each lift track has an integrated ramp, for ease of vehicle loading, which can be removed if the ramp is to be fitted into a recessed floor.

This size of ramp is designed for servicing, maintenance operations and MOT preparation of lorries/truck/HGVs and large vans, although we regularly use it to service smaller vans too.
The ramp is complete with 2 x rolling jacking rams but these may need some attention to be fully operational.

The ramp is still in use daily, so it is still installed in-situ at our workshop. We expect that any buyer would want to dismantle the ramp themselves, so that they know how to put it together again, but we can provide assistance with the dismantling and loading of the ramp onto a vehicle. We shall also arrange for the safe isolation/disconnection of the electricity feed prior to dismantling/collection.
