It's one of few places in all of Africa where forests grow down to the shore, and where forest animals come in search of new opportunity. To change or adapt can be a successful survival tactic and survival may depend on exploring unfamiliar frontiers. In Equatorial East Africa is the arid savannah, such landscape is rare at the equator. Equator lands around the world are mostly forest covered and wet, but here on the savannah it hasn't rained for months.
