Iranian Majles Speaker Mohammed-Baqer Qalibaf addressed U.S. President Trump at a January 12, 2026 pro-regime rally in Tehran, aired on IRINN TV (Iran), saying: “Come, so you can see what catastrophe befalls American bases, ships, and forces.” He warned that if American forces come, they will be “burned by the fire of Iran’s defenders,” adding that this would be “a lesson learned in the history of America’s oppressive rulers.” He said that Iranians “will teach these oppressive rulers some manners.”

Qalibaf said that the “delusional and arrogant American President” Trump had killed IRGC Qods Force commander Qasem Soleimani, believing this would destroy the resistance. He said that instead, this ideology has now turned into a “global movement.” Qalibaf added that today, even in the United States, elections are won by chanting anti-Israel slogans.
