Absolutely! The story of the Good Samaritan comes from the Bible, specifically in the Gospel of Luke (Luke 10:25-37). It's a parable told by Jesus to illustrate the importance of compassion and kindness towards others, regardless of their background.

In the story, a man is attacked by robbers while traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho. He is left severely injured by the side of the road. A priest and a Levite, both of whom you'd expect to help, see the man but pass by without offering assistance. However, a Samaritan, considered an outsider and often despised by the Jews of that time, stops to help the injured man. The Samaritan tends to his wounds, takes him to an inn, and pays for his care.

The moral of the story is that true neighborliness transcends ethnic and social boundaries. The Good Samaritan's actions exemplify selfless love and compassion, encouraging people to help others in need, regardless of their background or affiliation.
