To say this was easy would be a complete lie. To say that it was sad would be a partial truth. To say that his music would help keep the people in the room from falling off the rails would be one of the truest statements I could type.

Dana lived for music, and eventually... took his own life through manifesting those same words that would accompany his beautiful guitar styling, and a vocal tone that was unique as his dark sense of humor.

A stage full of some of the most incredible musicians, his best friends, mine as well, took on the task of playing some of his catalog to help move on. Saying goodbye to a musician is virtually impossible, because every time you hear their voice, you hear their age at the time, their facial expressions, their living arrangement at the time, their political views of the moment, and so much more. Songs capture these individuals in a moment of time that was real... and then you hear their voice, which makes it even more so.

Dana was a brilliant songwriter, and an even better brother.
