Telangana Caste Survey Report: Muslim Population at 12.56% | Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy
The latest caste survey conducted in Telangana reveals key demographic insights about the state's 3.70 crore population. According to the report submitted to the cabinet sub-committee led by Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, the population distribution is as follows:

🔹 Backward Classes (BCs): 46.25% (Largest segment)
🔹 Scheduled Castes (SCs): 17.43%
🔹 Scheduled Tribes (STs): 10.45%
🔹 Muslim Backward Classes (BCs): 10.08%
🔹 Other Castes (OCs): 13.31%
🔹 Muslim OCs: 2.48%
🔹 Total Muslim Population: 12.56%

The Telangana State Planning Department conducted this extensive survey, and the findings will be presented before the state cabinet on February 4, followed by a special session of the legislative assembly for discussion.
