Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an educational framework to improve and optimize teaching and learning for all people. The UDL framework guides the design of instructional goals, assessments, methods, and materials that can be customized and adjusted to meet individual needs, in order for all learners to have equal opportunity to succeed. The UDL ECHO® is designed to support postsecondary faculty in learning about and implementing the principles of UDL to meet the learning needs of diverse students, increase student engagement, and enhance faculty effectiveness.
