According to the Associated Press, White House press officials altered the record of a call in which President Joe Biden was accused of calling former President Donald Trump's supporters 'garbage.'

A few days ago, Biden made headlines for the "garbage" comment he made while Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a speech from the Ellipse outside the White House. During a virtual Harris campaign call with Voto Latino, Biden took a shot at former President Trump and his supporters.

"The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters," Biden said. "[Trump's] demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it is un-American."

Biden's administration was quick to point out that he was referring to the "hateful rhetoric" about Puerto Rico, while Trump supporters were quick to call Biden's remarks disparaging.

In response, Trump held a short campaign event from a garbage truck as he hit the campaign trail in Wisconsin before a rally in Green Bay. The election is next Tuesday.
