This video is about preparing a ready to use Bonsai soil/potting mix or manure mix suitable for most plants, especially bonsai plants. The soil that you see here is sterilized with steaming hot water.
I used soil (50%), perlite (20%), vermicompost (20%), seaweed extract granules (5%), and organic manure (5%).
I added all these together, mixed them well and collected in a metal container and will keep it in a cool dry place for two days so that the added items are set well in the Bonsai soil mix.
Seaweed extract granules, a slow release organic fertilizer, are derived from red and blue algae cultured in the Indian ocean by fishermen families. Seaweed is rich in micro nutrients such as iron, zinc, and plant growth hormones like auxins, cytokinins, and gibberellins.
The organic fertiliser contains, in addition to NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium) micro nutrients like cadmium, chromium, copper, mercury, nickel, and zinc.
The prepared mix will be used as and when required as bonsai soil mix, potting mix, or it can simply be used as a ready-to-use all-purpose fertilizer.
